    About us

The South East Devon Habitat Regulations Executive Committee is a partnership of Exeter City, East Devon and Teignbridge District Councils. The Committee is legally required to make decisions and recommendations across the three authority areas to protect three internationally important conservation sites.

The Committee operates through a delivery manager and officer working group to protect places such as the Exe Estuary, Dawlish Warren and the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths for future generations to enjoy.

Eel grass is a nutritious sea grass that provides energy to birds, refuge to marine life such as seahorses and is a fantastic Co2 store. It also acts as a coastal buffer reducing the impacts of waves on coastal regions 🦆
